Instead of only using funded hours during term time, many families choose to stretch their entitlement across the year. This can help create a more consistent nursery routine and make monthly childcare costs easier to understand.
Some sessions may be fully funded, while others may include charges for meals, consumables, activities or any additional hours outside your funded entitlement.

A few helpful answers about funded hours, additional fees and how childcare funding works at Tiny Toez.
Do Tiny Toez offer funded childcare places?
Yes. Tiny Toez offers funded childcare places where eligible families can use government funded hours. Availability may depend on your chosen nursery, your child’s age, your eligibility and the sessions available.
Are funded hours completely free?
Funded hours can be accessed without paying for additional nursery hours. However, depending on your chosen session pattern, there may be optional or additional charges for meals, consumables, activities or hours outside your funded entitlement.
Can funded hours be stretched across the year?
Yes. In many cases, funded hours can be stretched across the year rather than only used during term time. This can help families keep a regular nursery routine and spread childcare support more evenly.
What happens if I need more hours than my funding covers?
Additional hours can usually be booked, subject to nursery availability. These extra hours are charged separately according to the relevant nursery fee list.
Can I use Tax-Free Childcare with Tiny Toez?
Yes. Tiny Toez accepts Tax-Free Childcare payments. Eligible families can use a government childcare account where the government adds £2 for every £8 paid in.
What if I miss the funding code deadline?
Funding codes usually apply from the following eligible term. If you miss a deadline, your funded hours may not start until the next term. Please speak to your chosen nursery as soon as possible so the team can guide you.
Can I change my child’s sessions later?
Session changes may be possible, but they depend on nursery availability and may affect your funding claim. Please speak to the nursery manager before making changes.
Is the fee calculator a final quote?
No. The calculator is only an estimate. Your final fees will depend on your child’s age, funding eligibility, session pattern, start date, local authority rules and nursery availability.

Canal walks 🦆☀️
We’re so lucky to be less than a 5-minute walk from the canal! Our little ones love feeding the ducks, watching the swans glide by, and keeping their eyes peeled for ducklings.
These simple outings provide so many wonderful learning opportunities. From talking about wildlife and habitats to counting birds, describing what we see, and practising kindness and respect for nature, every visit becomes a chance to learn through play and exploration.
Fresh air, curious minds, and happy memories. We couldn't ask for a better local adventure! 🌿🦢

Overall a fantastic nursery, he skips into the nursery and looks forward to every day he goes there, which as a parent is the most important thing. The nursery staff have been excellent from when he was 12 months old to now 3 years old in developing his life skills, vocabulary, learning ability etc.
The classrooms are large with plenty of things for the children to do and the playgrounds are also very good.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Tiny Toez.

Help with Childcare Costs
Many families are eligible for government-funded childcare and support schemes. Here’s a quick guide to what may be available.
15 Hours Funded Childcare
Families in England with children aged 3 to 4 years can access 15 hours of funded childcare per week during term time.
30 Hours Funded Childcare
Eligible working families may be able to access up to 30 hours of funded childcare for children aged 9 months to 4 years.
Help with Childcare Costs
You may be able to reduce childcare costs through Tax-Free Childcare or claim back up to 85% through Universal Credit.
