Early Years Practitioner – East Valley

Role Details

Key Responsibilities

• Support children's learning, development and wellbeing
• Plan and take part in age-appropriate activities
• Create a safe, caring and stimulating nursery environment
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and carers
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery procedures
• Work closely with Room Leaders, managers and the wider nursery team
• Help maintain observations, routines and children's development records

Qualifications & Experience

• Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification preferred
• Nursery or childcare experience is desirable
• Understanding of the EYFS is helpful
• Apprenticeship interest may also be considered
• Must be caring, reliable, professional and enthusiastic

• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Patient, caring and enthusiastic approach with children
• Reliable and professional
• Willingness to learn and develop
• A genuine interest in child development
