We want every child to feel safe, stimulated and happy at Tiny Toez — and for parents and carers to feel fully confident in their child's wellbeing and their own role as an active partner in our nursery. Starting somewhere new is a big step, and we're here to make it as smooth and positive as possible.
Our Aim
Our aim is to make Tiny Toez a welcoming place where children settle quickly and easily. To achieve this, we take time to get to know each child and family individually — considering their specific needs, circumstances and home life — so that we can offer a truly personalised welcome from day one.
How We Settle Your Child In
We follow a structured but flexible settling-in process, designed to build confidence and connection at every stage:

Enrolment paperwork before you start
Before your child's first settling-in session, we provide written information about the nursery and ask parents and carers to collect and complete enrolment paperwork in advance. This gives us key information about your child to help make their transition as smooth as possible.

Partnership from the very beginning
Our nursery staff work in close partnership with parents and carers throughout the settling-in process. You know your child best — and we want to make sure that knowledge shapes how we welcome them.

Two dedicated settling-in sessions
Every child is offered two settling-in sessions when they are given a place at the nursery. The first session lasts 1 hour, and the second lasts 2 hours. These sessions give your child the chance to begin building a bond with their key person and start forming friendships with their new peers — at a gentle, unhurried pace.

Enrolment baselines & observations explained
Prior to their first settling-in session, parents and carers are asked to complete enrolment baselines. This information supports the key person in completing your child's initial baseline assessment. Your key person will also take time to explain how they carry out observations and use these to plan future activities that support your child's individual development.

Canal walks 🦆☀️
We’re so lucky to be less than a 5-minute walk from the canal! Our little ones love feeding the ducks, watching the swans glide by, and keeping their eyes peeled for ducklings.
These simple outings provide so many wonderful learning opportunities. From talking about wildlife and habitats to counting birds, describing what we see, and practising kindness and respect for nature, every visit becomes a chance to learn through play and exploration.
Fresh air, curious minds, and happy memories. We couldn't ask for a better local adventure! 🌿🦢

Overall a fantastic nursery, he skips into the nursery and looks forward to every day he goes there, which as a parent is the most important thing. The nursery staff have been excellent from when he was 12 months old to now 3 years old in developing his life skills, vocabulary, learning ability etc.
The classrooms are large with plenty of things for the children to do and the playgrounds are also very good.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Tiny Toez.

15 Hours Funded Childcare
Families in England with children aged 3 to 4 years can access 15 hours of funded childcare per week during term time.
30 Hours Funded Childcare
Eligible working families may be able to access up to 30 hours of funded childcare for children aged 9 months to 4 years.
Help with Childcare Costs
You may be able to reduce childcare costs through Tax-Free Childcare or claim back up to 85% through Universal Credit.
