Complaints Policy
At Tiny Toez we believe that children and parents/carers are entitled to expect courtesy and prompt, careful attention to their needs and wishes. We anticipate that most concerns will be resolved quickly by an informal approach to the appropriate member of staff.
Our Aim
We aim to bring all concerns about the running of our nursery to a satisfactory conclusion for all parties involved and take necessary action where applicable.
If a complaint is made to a member of staff then the manager is immediately informed. The manager will talk with parents/carers and staff to try and overcome the problem. If this does not achieve the desired result, we have a formal procedure for dealing with complaints.
It is of paramount importance that the nursery runs smoothly and that parents/carers and staff work collaboratively to ensure that the child's best interests always come first.
Complaints Procedure
To achieve a satisfactory resolution, we operate the following four-stage procedure:
Any parent or carer who is unhappy about any aspect of the nursery's provision should talk through their concerns with their child's key person. Wherever possible their concern will be addressed immediately or within 48 hours.
If you are not comfortable discussing your concern with the key person, you may go directly to Stage 2.
If the discussion at Stage 1 proves unsatisfactory, the complaint must be taken to the manager who will endeavour to resolve the matter, again immediately or within 48 hours.
If you are still not satisfied with the response you receive, a formal complaint can be made in writing to the management or director. A response to written complaints will be given within 28 days.
Written complaints can also be submitted electronically via the nursery's email address.
The parent or carer may request a meeting with the manager and director. All parties should have a friend or partner present. An agreed written record of the discussion is made, signed by all parties present, and a copy given to each party.
This signed record signifies that the procedure has concluded. All parties will be kept informed at all stages.
Most complaints should be able to be resolved informally at Stage 1 or Stage 2. Written complaints will always receive a written response within 28 days.
Contacting Ofsted
Parents should be aware that they can contact Ofsted at any stage of this complaints procedure.

How We Record & Learn from Complaints
- A record of all complaints against our nursery and/or children and/or staff is kept, including the date, the circumstances of the complaint and how it was managed
- After a complaint has been resolved, the final outcome will be documented appropriately
- Any recommendations for changes in procedures will be looked into and actioned if appropriate
- Once a complaint has been fully resolved, a feedback form will be sent to the parents within 14 days to understand how they feel their complaint was dealt with and whether they are satisfied with the outcome
This feedback helps us to continually improve our services and ensure we are meeting parents' expectations.
Staff Complaints
Should staff wish to make a complaint, the same procedure should be followed from Stage 2 — going directly to the manager.
If a staff member is not satisfied that the manager has dealt with their complaint appropriately, or if the nature of the complaint means they cannot inform the manager, then their complaint should be made to the Operational Manager or Director of Tiny Toez. Responses will be given within the time frames stipulated above.

Kind words from our Tiny Toez families
Real feedback from parents helps new families feel confident when choosing the right nursery.
Special shout out to Jackie who had both our babies from early on. Sophie, Jon, Moo and Ro x
Overall a fantastic nursery, he skips into the nursery and looks forward to every day he goes there, which as a parent is the most important thing. The nursery staff have been excellent from when he was 12 months old to now 3 years old in developing his life skills, vocabulary, learning ability etc.
The classrooms are large with plenty of things for the children to do and the playgrounds are also very good.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Tiny Toez.
