Arrivals and Departures Policy
It is the policy of Tiny Toez to ensure that every child and their family are given a warm welcome on their arrival and that only authorised people have access to the premises in order to keep everybody safe.
Arriving at the Nursery
Upon arrival at the nursery, parents and carers will either let themselves in using the fingerprint entry system or ring the appropriate bell/buzzer and wait to be granted entry or greeted at the door by a staff member.
All visitors are required to press the bell/buzzer and wait for someone to greet them. Please see our Visitor's Policy for further details.
Parents and carers pass the care of their child to a member of staff in the child's main room. Wherever possible this will be the child's key person. The member of staff receiving the child immediately records the child's arrival time on the daily attendance register along with any specific information provided by the parents/carers.
Medication on Arrival
If the parent or carer requests that their child is to be given medicine during the day then the member of staff ensures that the medication policy is followed in full.
Please ensure any medication is handed directly to a member of staff on arrival and is clearly labelled with your child's name and dosage instructions.
Collection by a New Person
If a child is going to be collected by somebody new then the parent or carer must pass on the following information to staff in advance:
The full name of the person who will be collecting the child.
A description or photograph of the person so staff can identify them on arrival.
A password, if it is different from the one on the child's registration form, or confirmation that the person collecting the child knows the current password.
Children will only ever be released to adults who have authorisation to collect them. This is a strict safeguarding requirement that cannot be overridden without prior arrangement.
Departures
When children are collected from nursery, staff will talk to parents and carers, give them their daily forms and diaries, and hand over any medicines or artwork etc.

Children will only be released to adults with authorisation to collect them

Canal walks 🦆☀️
We’re so lucky to be less than a 5-minute walk from the canal! Our little ones love feeding the ducks, watching the swans glide by, and keeping their eyes peeled for ducklings.
These simple outings provide so many wonderful learning opportunities. From talking about wildlife and habitats to counting birds, describing what we see, and practising kindness and respect for nature, every visit becomes a chance to learn through play and exploration.
Fresh air, curious minds, and happy memories. We couldn't ask for a better local adventure! 🌿🦢

Overall a fantastic nursery, he skips into the nursery and looks forward to every day he goes there, which as a parent is the most important thing. The nursery staff have been excellent from when he was 12 months old to now 3 years old in developing his life skills, vocabulary, learning ability etc.
The classrooms are large with plenty of things for the children to do and the playgrounds are also very good.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Tiny Toez.

Families in England with children aged 3 to 4 years can access 15 hours of funded childcare per week during term time.
30 Hours Funded Childcare
Eligible working families may be able to access up to 30 hours of funded childcare for children aged 9 months to 4 years.

You may be able to reduce childcare costs through Tax-Free Childcare or claim back up to 85% through Universal Credit.
